Itanagar, Oct 8: The Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) has appreciated Chief Minister Pema Khandu and the State Cabinet for approving the Phase-II infrastructure development of the State Sports Academy at Miao with a total investment of ₹130 crore during the Cabinet meeting held at Miao, Changlang district, under the ‘Cabinet Aapke Dwar’ initiative.
This landmark decision reaffirms the Government’s unwavering commitment to the promotion of sports and the holistic development of young sporting talent in the state, the sporting body said. The AOA also appreciated Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Kento Jini, for his dynamic leadership and consistent efforts towards strengthening the sports ecosystem in Arunachal Pradesh.
The Arunachal Olympic Association reaffirmed its full support to the Government’s vision of empowering youth through sports and pledged to continue working in close coordination with the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs to realise the shared goal of producing Olympians from the state.
