ITANAGAR, Mar 19: The Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ), Arunachal Press Club (APC) and Arunachal Electronic & Digital Association (AEDMA) has expressed its deep condolences over the untimely demise of Rinchin Chhewang Bodoi, father of AEDMA general secretary and Arunachal Today editor Sangge Droma.
Bodoi breathed his last at a private hospital in Guwahati, Assam following a cardiac arrest.
In their condolence message, the state media bodies said: “We are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of late Bodoi. Our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving family members.”
A native of Wanghoo village in West Kameng district, Bodoi was a retired deputy superintendent of police and had served the department for 39 years before retiring in 2021.
He is survived by his wife, four daughters and a son.
The last rites of Bodoi will be performed at his village on Monday.
