Itanagar, Mar 23: The State Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 was successfully organized today at Nokmey Namati Hall, Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Itanagar. A total of 65 delegates, representing 13 districts, participated in the programme after qualifying at the district level.
The event was attended by Speaker Tesam Pongte; Chau Zingnu Namchoom, MLA and Advisor to Sports & Youth Affairs and Gumsen Lollen, State President, BJP Kisan Morcha.
Addressing the gathering, the Guest of Honour, Chau Zingnu Namchoom, encouraged participants to give their best and elaborated on the importance of the theme, “Union Budget 2026: Strengthening the Indian Youth Path towards Viksit Bharat 2047.” The Chief Guest, Tesam Pongte, also motivated the youth and highlighted the importance of leadership among young citizens.
In the competition, Ms. Abida Begum from Lower Dibang Valley secured the 1st position, Ms. Esha Kumari Sah from Tirap secured the 2nd position, and Mr. Toawang Atoa from Tirap secured the 3rd position.
The first prize winner will represent Arunachal Pradesh at the National Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026. The second and third prize winners will get the opportunity to witness the national-level event, which will be held at Samvidhan Sadan, New Delhi, in the presence of the Speaker, Government of India, and other dignitaries.
