ITANAGAR, Jan 9: The Arunachal Pradesh State Food Commission (APSFC) Itanagar, conducted a hearing today on the "act of dereliction" by an official, who failed to turn up for hearing despite several reminders on the issue of sub-standard quality of rice given to beneficiaries of Mebo Block in East Siang district last year.
The State Level Vigilance & Monitoring Committee headed by the Chairman, Anok Wangsa and member Nima Sange, along with OSD Anom Apang, had carried out inspection on 12th July last year, as per the direction of the APSFC and submitted their spot verification reports with videos. However the ADC (Hq) cum District Grievance Redressal Officer (DGRO), East Siang district, Tatdo Borang, failed to attend the hearing inspite of reminders to send his report urgently.
Hence, the court will pronounce its order for such act of dereliction by the DGRO, as per the NFSA, 2013 within 10 days, a statement from the Commission said.
