ITANAGAR, Aug 9: The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has successfully concluded the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE)–2024 recruitment process within a record time frame of just ten months — from the date of advertisement to the declaration of results — recommending 140 candidates across various government departments.
Announcing the achievement, Secretary APPSC, Parul Gaur Mittal (IRS), informed that the advertisement for APPSCCE–2024 was issued on 10 October 2024. The Preliminary Examination was held on 15 December 2024, with admit cards issued to around 22,700 candidates. The exam was conducted across 18 districts at 87 venues. For the first time, the Commission introduced 3-ply OMR sheets with a candidate’s copy for reference. Provisional answer keys were also uploaded for public challenge before finalizing results. Preliminary results, declared on 22 December 2024, shortlisted 1,658 candidates for the Mains stage.
The Mains Examination took place on 6, 7, 9, and 10 April 2025, with results announced on 30 June 2025, shortlisting 420 candidates for the next stage. Candidates vying for the DySP post underwent Physical Standard and Physical Efficiency Tests on 18 and 19 July 2025, with proceedings under CCTV surveillance and digital recording of parameters — a first in CCE history.
The Personality Test was conducted from July 30 to 7 August 2025 over eight days. To ensure transparency and fairness, candidates were assigned random codes to conceal their identities from interview board members. The constitution of boards and allocation of candidates were determined by lottery immediately before interviews. Special arrangements were also made for PwBD candidates requiring communication assistance or aids. The entire viva voce process was videographed.
The final result was declared on 8 August 2025, marking the successful recommendation of 140 candidates. “This year, significant reforms were introduced at multiple stages of the examination process, ensuring the highest level of transparency and efficiency. The APPSC remains committed to making the APPSCCE an annual calendar event, and the next cycle will commence upon receipt of requisitions from concerned departments,” stated Secretary APPSC, Parul Gaur Mittal (IRS).
