ITANAGAR, Apr 4: The State BJP will file case against all nine BJP Zila Parishad Members (ZPMs) and two Congress ZPMs from Papumpare district seeking their disqualification from membership to the Panchayati Raj for "cheating and forgery".
Addressing the media, Spokesperson, State BJP, Techi Necha said the resignation of 9 BJP ZPMs of Papum Pare District Zila Parishad, including 2 ZPMs of the Congress Party blatantly violates the provisions of the Arunachal Pradesh Local Authorities Prohibition of Defection Act 2003.
"As the People's Party of Arunachal (PPA), President, Kafha Bengia revealed in his letter and the minutes of the meeting dated 03.04.2023 to the ADC cum member Secretary, the ZPMs have clearly indicated that the merger into the PPA by the nine BJP ZPMs and 2(two) Congress ZPMs never happened, and the act is a total forgery and is misguiding the authority," said Necha.
He also added that the BJP Arunachal Pradesh under the state President Biyuram Wahge will initiate disqualification proceedings against the said ZPMs under various provisions of APLA (Prohibition of Defections) Act 2003.
BJP Arunachal Pradesh requests the ADC cum member secretary, Zila Parishad Papum Pare for an immediate recommendation for the disqualification of all 11 ZPMs and requests the member secretary to lodge an FIR before the competent Police Station on grounds of cheating, forgery and misguiding government authority, stated the BJP Spokesperson.
Meanwhile, he also alleged that a person who is a 'Chairman' is engaged in such political activities as his wife is one of the ZPMs in the recently forged merger from BJP to PPA.
