ITANAGAR, May 23: The State BJP today strongly condemned and rejected the allegation made by Congress party on the Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. and the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) case.
Addressing a press conference at the state BJP headquarters, Spokesperson Techi Necha said that the BJP government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu is trying every possible means to resolve the APPSC paper leakage case in the State. He said that all the 13-point charter of demands placed by the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee (PAJSC) is almost resolved. Now the APPSC case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in their own way and the state government cannot interfere in it, he said.
Necha said the Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 2014 was created by the Congress Government  headed by the then Chief Minister Nabam  Tuki  to provide more effective prevention of certain unlawful activities of individuals and associations, and for dealing with terrorist activities, and for matters connected therewith.. BJP led Government of Arunachal Pradesh is implementing through the District Administration as per the provisions of the Act, the spokesperson added.
The 72-hours bandh call by civil society is illegal and unconstitutional in a democratic country as declared by the Supreme Court of India. Bandh callers have been detained under the Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (APUAPA).  He added that such calls infringe on the fundamental rights of others and have a detrimental effect on the peace and tranquility of society. 
Necha, appealed to bandh callers to instead opt for debate, peaceful rally, dharna, hunger strike, while adding that the "people friendly government headed by  Chief Minister Pema Khandu is always open for discussion."
