ITANAGAR, Apr 19: State BJP will lodge FIR against two Congress ZPMs of Papumpare district for forgery, said State BJP Spokesperson, Techi Necha on Wednesday.
Reacting to the report of ZPMs Taba Rama and Techi Serbang who merged with the BJP, Necha categorically denied any such development in the state BJP office. "We have already filed complaint and case in the district court regarding the merging of nine BJP ZPMs of Papumpare to PPA violating the laid down norms of the Arunachal Pradesh Local Authorities Prohibition of Defection Act 2003," he said.
The nine former BJP ZPMs used forged documents to merge with the People's Party of Arunachal (PPA), now we have received a report that two Congress ZPMs have merged with the BJP, but as of now the state office has no such information, he asserted.
The BJP said that no merger in BJP Mandal level will be accepted. "So as directed by the state BJP President we are going to lodged FIR against the two Congress ZPMs," added Necha.
Earlier, Necha informed that the expelled ZPMs claimed that they have merged with the People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA), but as per the Arunachal Pradesh Local Authorities Prohibition of Defection Act 2003, at least 1/3 members are needed for the merger, whereas they are only nine members out of 15.
