Naharlagun, Apr 16: A one day special camp on widows welfare initiative was held today at Oju Mission School, Papu Nallah by the District Administration, Capital Complex, Itanagar in collaboration with Women Helpline 181 run by Oju Welfare Association to link beneficiaries with various central and state government schemes and to facilitate various services to them at their doorstep. The initiative saw participation from various departments as well as from the public who availed these benefits.
A total of 35 people had their Aadhar Enrollment done at the centre. While 192 people filled up the form for Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension, 17 people filled up the form for Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension. 26 people also filled up the form for Ration Card. The Chief Minister Vidya Scheme by the Department of Education saw 10 beneficiaries.
