ITANAGAR, Jan 20: State Assembly Speaker P D Sona has deeply mourned the demise of Taring Payeng, Joint Secretary APLA, who passed away this morning at Naharlagun. 
Born in 1968 at Taliha village under Upper Subansiri district late Payeng did his schooling from Govt Higher Secondary School, Daporijo. He completed his graduation from J N College, Pasighat and joined the Assembly Secretariat.
In his condolence message, the Speaker said, “It is a painful moment for the family and for those who were associated with him. He had served the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in various capacities with utmost sincerity and dedication and was currently holding the position of Joint Secretary. His contribution to the Legislative Assembly shall always be remembered by one and all.”
“He was a very simple, straightforward and honest person and was regarded by the officers and staff of the Legislative Assembly.” the Speaker said.
The Speaker prayed to the almighty God for the eternal peace of his departed soul and also to give enough strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
Meanwhile, Speaker accompanied by Deputy Speaker Tesam Pongte and Secretary APLA K Habung paid a visit to the family at Naharlagun.
The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has also mourned the untimely demise of Payeng and offered its deepest condolences to the bereaved family. CoSAAP also appealed to the State Government particularly, the Legislative Assembly Secretariat to render immediate relief services, including providing a compassionate appointment in government job to a bereaved family member.
