ITANAGAR, May 14: The South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championships began on Sunday at Itanagar. Union Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju termed it as an important moment in the sports history of Arunachal Pradesh.
South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship 2023 is going to be held in Itanagar from May 14 - 17 next. Arunachal East Parliamentary Constituency MP Kiren Rijiju inaugurated the programme where more than 100 players from six countries -- Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Nepal are participating in the championship.
Tweeting along with the pictures, Rijiju said it is a big moment in the sports history of Arunachal Pradesh. All the best young talents are competing in the South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship-2023 in Itanagar. He wished all the players of the tournament all the best.
Table tennis is becoming increasingly popular in India. All our players are performing brilliantly in international competitions, Rijiju said.
