Mechukha, Aug 25: Assembly Speaker and MLA of the 33rd Mechukha Assembly Constituency P D Sona, wrapped up his comprehensive tour of the Shi-Yomi district with a visit to Lungte village in the Pidi Circle on Wednesday.
Over the span of several days, he actively engaged with local communities, inspected ongoing and completed developmental projects, and held significant discussions with diverse stakeholders.
During the tour, Sona meticulously inspected various ongoing and completed development projects and initiatives. He highlighted the unwavering commitment of the state government, led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, to drive the progress of the state.
Sona called upon the public for collective support and cooperation in achieving this shared objective.
The tour included a series of meetings and interactive sessions, involving leaders from Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI), government officials, and the general public.
Sona also undertook an assessment of the district's telecom infrastructure. He emphasized the necessity for improvements in areas where network stability remained a challenge. Providing valuable insights, Sona shared feedback with telecom authorities, urging them to enhance services to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
Also, Sona reviewed the ongoing BSNL Airfiber project. Officials briefed him about temporary delays attributed to the monsoon season, impacting the project's timeline. However, the officials assured Sona of their commitment to expedite the project's completion once the monsoon season recedes.
