TATO, Aug 16:  Assembly Speaker P.D. Sona.took stock of the progress of various projects and schemes undergoing in Shi Yomi District and asked all Heads of Departments to expedite development projects on priority basis during a coordination meeting held at Tato on Tuesday. 
In his address, Sona lauded the District Administration under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Liyi Bagra for relocation of all HoDs to Tato and establishment of a temporary DC office at Kamgi near its original location thereby making the functioning of the district eventually from Tato. Reiterating his commitment to transform Tato into a model district headquarters, Sona appealed for cooperation from government officers, particularly Heads of Departments and requested their continuous presence in their designated posting place.
Acknowledging the concerns raised by the representative of Tato Township Development Welfare Society regarding the Tato-Mechukha double lane highway issue, Sona called upon the DC to facilitate a prompt meeting involving all stakeholders. The aim is to collaboratively arrive at an agreeable solution to the situation. He underlined the importance of preventing undue hardships for the residents. Informing about various mega hydropower projects coming up in the district, Sona called upon everyone to extend support to NEEPCO for successful implementation of the projects.
Reflecting on the establishment of Shi Yomi District as a result of dedicated efforts to address the administrative needs of its residents,
Sona requested the DC to formulate a comprehensive master plan for the construction of a mini secretariat.
Also, the Speaker expressed concern regarding the lower than expected enrollment in the CMAAY and Ayushman Bharat scheme. He urged PRI leaders to effectively disseminate information about the advantages of these schemes within village communities and further called for cohesive coordination between departments and PRI leaders in this endeavor.
Expressing alarm over the menace of misuse of the Right to Information (RTI), Sona called upon the officers not to resort to appeasement strategies but instead provide the requested information transparently.
During the meeting, DC Shi Yomi reminded the officials to remain stationed at their duty locations, warning of stern actions for unauthorized absences.
"Leaving the station is only permissible during official duty or approved leave," he cautioned.
Earlier, Sona, accompanied by DC Shi Yomi, ZPC, ZPM, and all HoDs, conducted an inspection of the newly established government department offices and officer barracks.
