ITANAGAR, May 26: With 3 more deaths reported on Wednesday, Arunachal’s Covid casualty tally has reached 107.
A 55-yr old female Covid patient referred from DH Roing with various comorbidities and not vaccinated expired on Tuesday evening at DCH Pasighat. A 52-yr old female Covid patient from Seru, Muchut in Tawang district suffering from chronic liver ailments died on Tuesday evening at DCH Chimpu. She was not Covid vaccinated.
A 90-yr old male Covid patient who was under home isolation and suffering from multiple comorbidities died today at his residence at Motum village, Mebo in East Siang district due to cardio respiratory failure. His Covid vaccination status was also nil.
Compared to Tuesday, there was a fall in fresh cases with a total of 374 recorded from across the state, taking the active count to 3504.
Of the new cases added, ICR, Tawang and Changlang were the top three districts with 76, 74 and 71 respectively. Overall recoveries also saw a further fall compared to the earlier day with 190 in total.
ICR, Changlang, Tawang, Lower Subansiri and Lohit, are the first five districts with 48, 32, 18, 22 and 21 respectively. After these new recoveries, the state’s discharge tally is now 21765. 6609 samples were also collected from across the state on the day for Covid testing.
So far as the state’s Covid vaccination status is concerned, as of May 26, 20072 individuals in the 18-44 age group have been vaccinated with the 1st dose. In the 45+ category, 145641 have taken dose 1 and 35850 the 2nd dose. On an overall basis, 255367 citizens have been administered with the 1st dose and 82038 with the 2nd dose till May 26.
Occupancy status at the CCCs as of May 26 was- 60 at DCH Chimpu, 45 at SQF Lekhi, 4 at DCHC Midpu, 7 at DCH Pasighat and 33 at DCHC.
