Roing, Feb 5: An Annual Skill Mela cum Sensitisation and Awareness Rally 2023 was organised at ITI, Roing today by the Department of Skill Development, in collaboration with District Administration, Lower Dibang Valley and Govt. ITI, Roing.
R P Maurya(GDGM, Dibang Multipurpose Project, NHPC) spoke about the need for development of skill training in order to improve the adaptability and acceptability of quality of the trainees. He also motivated the unemployed educated youth to focus on skilling themselves for self sustenance.
Passang Norbu(MGNF, Lower Dibang Valley) briefed the gathering on different skill training programmes conducted by the state and central government. Somnath Paul (representative from Model Career Centre, Roing) also attended the programme and addressed the gathering.
Subash Pertin(Principal, ITI Roing) briefed the aspiring candidates about the programme and motivated them to avail the opportunity at its maximum and get themselves registered for different skill trainings. Registration for apprenticeship training through NAPS portal was also explained. About 135 aspiring candidates participated in the programme and got themselves registered to undergo skill training in different sector. A campus placement drive was also conducted by Indus Tower Ltd, Guwahati where 70 candidates from different parts of the state participated. The rally was attended by Training Providers Infoway IT Solution, Miao and Vellure Febtex, Guahati.
