Bomdila, Feb 17: The Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship organized a workshop in collaboration with the District Industries Centre, Bomdila on SANKALP (Skill Acquisition and Knowledge awareness for Livelihood Promotion) today at the West Kameng headquarters.  The objective of workshop was to create awareness among youth regarding the various ongoing skill schemes being implemented by Government of Arunachal Pradesh. The workshop catered as a common platform for  supplementing the efforts of various departments and sensitize their ongoing schemes among the youth. The workshop was attended by more than 223 youths from different backgrounds in additions to the resource persons and other invitees.
Delivering the keynote address, Joint Director (SDE) N Lailang briefed the audience of the objectives of the workshop on SANKALP Project and informed about various skill development initiatives taken by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. 
Jumbom Riba, Assistant Director, Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Jumbom Riba in his presentation sensitized all dignitaries and youth present in the workshop about various initiatives of the Department like Chief Ministry Yuva Kaushal Yojana (CMYKY), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Apprenticeship Promotions Scheme and others and benefits of the said schemes for the youth.
Deputy Commissioner, West Kameng, Karma Leki in his speech, highlighted the importance of acquiring skills and need of skilled youth in the present scenario. He also emphasized to the youth to take benefits from various schemes implemented by the government. He further emphasised the importance of being skilled and with emphasised on the vision of making India a hub for skilled manpower across the globe.
