ITANAGAR, Sep 14: A residential complex of the State Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (SIRD&PR) at Chimpu-I here was formally inaugurated today by RD and PR Minister Bamang Felix.
The residential complex spanning across 6000 square meters houses four (4) Type-IV quarters, four (4) Type-II quarters and six (6) Type-I quarters. The land for the complex was donated by one local resident Tana Jirjo and currently 14 families of SIRD&PR officers and officers are availing the residential quarters. Speaking at the inaugural event, Minister Felix lauded land donor Jirjo for the gesture, and also congratulated the SIRD&PR for successfully establishing the residential complex.
He said that such development will go a long way in enabling SIRD&PR officers and officials to undertake their duties and responsibilities smoothly. The Minister also advised the residents to take good care of the asset and keep it maintained.
Earlier, Minister Felix also participated in a tree-sapling plantation programme which was undertaken as part of the inaugural event.
Among others, the event was attended by SIRD&PR Director Habung Lampung, Chimpu-I ZPM Taro Tagia, and faculties and staffs of the SIRD&PR.
