ITANAGAR, Dec 7: The Special Investigation Cell (SIC) arrested four more government officials in connection with the cash-for-job scam in the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC ) on Wednesday.
SP (SIC) Anant Mittal informed that the four accused arrested in the scam are Tobom Gamoh(29) AE, PWD, Geku, Ponpaul Ering(34), JE RWD, Pasighat, Ponpayej Ering (33), JE PHED &WS, Mariyang and Taneng Gamoh( 55), F&AO, State Legislative Assembly/DoTCL, Itanagar.
The entire arrest was made on the basis of the case registered under SIC (VIG) C/No.12/2022, U/S 120(B)/420/406/409 IPC R/W Sec.7/8/13 (2) PC Act, 1988. After the arrest of four more accused, the total arrested accused by SIC has reached 31.
“The investigation into the case is ongoing, and all facts of the case are being investigated in detail. All legal formalities and norms of professionalism are being maintained during the investigation,” stated the SP, adding that SIC is committed to ensuring justice for the aggrieved.
