ITANAGAR, Aug 18:The Apatani Shaman Association in a release has welcomed the move of the state government to create a separate Department of Indigenous Faith & Cultural Affairs in the state. Terming it as a bold decision by the Pema led BJP government, the association said that the department will prove helpful in preserving and documentation of rich literature, folklore and culture of indigenous tribes in the long run.
