Namsai, May 2: A severe storm that swept across Namsai district on Saturday night  caused widespread damage-- blowing off roofs, uprooting trees, electricity poles and leaving homes uninhabitable.
Families in the villages  of Pangen, Mengken Khampti and Mokrun under Namsai district were left to pick up the pieces after the violent storm had passed.As per the information from  Circle Officer Piyong Circle at least 25 houses were destroyed and one person was injured in the severe storm.
