PASIGHAT, Mar 1: A one-day sensitization and orientation programme on protection of women from Domestic Violence Act 2005 (PWDV), Sexual Harassement of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal ) Act 2013, Training on filing up on online complaint at SHE- Box for stakeholders was organised by the Women and Child Development Department East Siang on Friday here. The meeting was attended by HoDs and representatives of Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) of department and officials and staff members of WCD and One Stop Centre, Pasighat.
Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu stressing on zero tolerance for violation of women safety and dignity at workplaces said, today women are working in various sectors in various capacities and such sensitisation workshops empower women and stakeholders to know the rights adding that homes, workplaces should be place of joy and dignity for women.
SP Pankaj Lamba also commended on the initiative to create awareness for all stakeholders including law enforcement aspects and the leveraging of technology for redressal through SHe - Box portal of WCD Ministry.
Deputy Director (ICDS) cum Protection Officer(PWDVA) , East Siang, Machi Gao in her presentation highlighted the objectives to empower and provide a safe and enabling workplace for women and create awareness on the roles of stakeholders in the successful implementation of the Acts.
As Resource person, she presented the step by step procedures to file online complaint at SHe - Box Portal. DIPRO
