PASIGHAT, Aug 22:  A special review meeting for assessing and monitoring the progress status of ongoing PMGSY, VVP, and SASCI projects under Rural Works Department (Pasighat, Kaying, &Yingkiong Divisions) was held here today.
The meeting was presided over by P. N Thungon, Secretary, RWD, and Er. M. Chiram, SE, RWD, Pasighat Circle, with the participation of all field officials and contractors/representatives of the concerned projects.  
The Secretary, meticulously reviewed the delays pertaining to PMGSY-I & III. He took note of the issues faced in the execution while emphasising on the need to complete these projects before March 2026. The written and assented assurances of the contractors and firms were also taken for the early completion of these projects while affixing the responsibility of the same upon the field officials. The VVP and SASCI Projects, which are still within stipulated construction period, were also reviewed andadvised the stakeholders to speed up the pace of execution with special stress to try to complete the school infrastructures before the next academic session.
This review meeting served to be a successful platform for Project Review and Govt.-Contractor discussion set-up, which led to consented fixing of project completion dates of individual projects and finding solutions to their respective issues, the release said. DIPRO
