BORDUMSA, Jul 7:  In an initiative to preserve and protect the environment, the F/186 BN CRPF Camp Bordumsa organized a tree plantation programme along the Trans-Arunachal Highway, spanning from Mohong Mura to Magantong  here on Friday to mark 'Van Mahotsav'.
Janardan Upadhyay, Commandant of the 186 BN CRPF, inaugurated the plantation drive programme, symbolizing a commitment to fostering a greener and healthier ecosystem. The event witnessed the presence of several esteemed guests, including  Oling Lego, ADC Bordumsa among others.
Emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation,  Upadhyay expressed his gratitude towards the participants and highlighted the positive impact this initiative would have on the local ecosystem. He remarked, "Our aim is to create a sustainable environment that benefits not only the present generation but also future generations to come. By planting these trees, we are taking a significant step towards a greener and healthier Arunachal Pradesh."
The tree plantation programme, spanning both sides of the Trans-Arunachal Highway, aims to plant a total of 500 trees.
