Gurgaon, May 25: In a significant step towards youth empowerment and skill development, the Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Holiday Inn (Wave Hospitality) and Visan Foundation at Gurgaon, Haryana. 
The collaboration aims to train the youth of Arunachal Pradesh in Food & Beverage sector under project TARANG by Holiday Inn Group.
The MoU signing ceremony was held in the presence of Nyato Dukam, Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Commissioner Saugat Biswas, Director Wave Hospitality Sanjeev Bhatia and General Manager Holiday Inn Aerocity Shuvendu Bannerjee. The MoU was signed at the training facility of Visan Foundation between Director SDE Sibo Passing and Area Director Holiday Inn, Mukesh Kumar.
Project TARANG is a skill development initiative launched by Holiday Inn, New Delhi with the goal of empowering youth particularly from the north-east region of India by providing them with industry-relevant training in hospitality sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Nyato Dukam reiterated the state government’s strong commitment to supporting youth initiative, highlighting its potential to transform the lives of unemployed youth of Arunachal Pradesh. He said ‘we are proud to support this meaningful collaboration which aims to train hundreds of young individuals in the Food & Beverage sector, a field witnessing rising demand both in India and globally’.
Commissioner Saugat Biswas emphasised the SDE department’s ongoing commitment to create employment opportunities for youth of the state. He expressed a strong desire to elevate the standard of skill development training across the state. As part of this initiative, the department has entered into a strategic collaboration with the Holiday Inn Group, said the commissioner, while adding this partnership aims to enhance vocational training and employment prospects thereby empowering the youth of Arunachal Pradesh with industry-relevant skills and opportunities in Hospitality Industry.
