ITANAGAR, Aug 7: A training on media & community mobilization for capacity building  for Head of Institution and Chairman SMDC/SMC for elementary and secondary level of schools was conducted on August 4-5 last at Shikshak Bhavan Papunallah.
The training was attended by  ADC ICR, Shweta Nagarkoti, S.T Zara DDSE-cum-DPO ICR, Kipa Kechak DPC, ISSE, Papunallah and HoI alongwith SMC/SMDC’s members. 
The ADC in her speech highlighted the present scenario of education sector in the capital as well as the state as a whole. She emphasized on innovative ideas to motivate school going children and  to make them aware about the importance of education in life.
She also stressed on the  importance of civic amenity, and to have self consciousness in keeping the city clean.
While stressing on the importance of discipline, and good moral character, the ADC recalled how the relationship between teacher and students used to be  in the olden days.
The DDSE in his speech mentioned the poor performance in the CBSE and State Board exams conducted in the last academic year. He also requested the head of institutions to be very strict with students attendance and other important curricular activities.
