KHONSA, May 22:MLA cum Chairman APEDA Wanglam Sawin visited the circle headquarters Katang and took stock of the construction works being executed by various departments. The newly created circle is being equipped with all necessary infrastructure like roads, office buildings etc, and being given a face lift for inauguration shortly.

Later, Sawin inspected the PMGSY road from Changlang – Khonsa highway with take off point at Katang and end point at Chanyak (Kolagaon) and took note of the critical gaps faced by the people and the executing agencies the RWD. The road posed a major bottleneck to the public of Kolagaon village, which is the only lifeline. Sawin directed the executing agency to maintain proper gradient and drainage so that life expectancy of the road is enhanced and the people are at ease to travel to Khonsa the headquarters of Tirap.

While appreciating the contractors for putting in all their efforts, he directed them to complete the works  as per DPR specifications and in stipulated time.
