ITANAGAR, Nov 21: Reiterating its claim on illegal appointments in the Governor’s Secretariat, the Save Arunachal Movement (SAM) has demanded immediate cancellation of all such appointments made recently.
Speaking to the reporters, the Secretary General of SAM, Tami Pangu claimed that overshadowing all the laid down recruitment rules many illegal appointments have been made in the Governor's Secretariat. He also alleged that the present Governor himself wrote a note sheet to accommodate some people in the Secretariat violating the recruitment rules.
"Moreover, there is a Group B official who has been appointed in the Secretariat, whereas this post has to be recruited through the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) but officials of the Governor's Secretariat conducted the recruitment through Rajiv Gandhi University," claimed Pangu.
Even the Governor’s Secretariat has sought “Non-Arunachalee” officer for deputation as ADC to Governor which proves that Governor is anti-Arunachalee. There are many eligible officers from Arunachal who can serve the Governor as ADC, but letter from Governor office seeking Non-Arunachalee officer is really questionable, he added.
SAM has urged the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh to immediately cancel all the appointments done without maintaining transparency in his office. It also appealed to the apex student body AAPSU to take up this issue seriously to protect the future of the coming generation.
