Itanagar, Feb 10: In a spirited commemoration of National Road Safety Month, Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) hosted a dynamic array of inter-college competitions today, igniting intellectual fervour among 170 students from 13 esteemed institutes. The event, organised by the Directorate of Transport in collaboration with DNGC's Literary Club and Literary Committee, exemplified a harmonious blend of academia and advocacy.
Assistant Professor Nending Ommo moderated the debate competition resonating with insightful deliberations on road safety issues. Distinguished judges including District Transport Officer Techi Takap, DySP Chera Sawan, and Dr. Ashok Pandey, HoD of Commerce at DNGC, lent their expertise to evaluate the riveting exchanges.
Meanwhile, Assistant Professor Bar Yakar conducted a captivating quiz, infusing the atmosphere with intellectual vibrancy. Mema Chiri's oversight of the essay competition ensured a platform for poignant reflections on road safety concerns.
Dr. M. Q. Khan, the Principal of DNGC, lauded the event's success and the overwhelming participation, emphasising the pivotal role of such initiatives in fostering a safety-conscious society.
