ITANAGAR, Aug 25: Union Minister for Earth Sciences, Kiren Rijiju on Friday donated a mortuary van to the Tomo Riba Institute for Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) Hospital here at Naharlagun.
The vehicle was donated under Project “Parichannata”, as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), Assam under Preventive Health Care.
While flagging off the van at the hospital premises amidst presence of Special Secretary Health & Family Welfare, Dean & Principal TRIHMS, besides team of officers from NRL led by General Manager (CSR) and DGM N Riba, the Union Minister took every detail of the utility vehicle to be operated for public services.
On the occasion, Rijiju spoke on the existing problems and challenges in health sector in the state and emphasized on the need to further improve and strengthen the health care services for betterment of the people. He thanked the NRL for their welfare initiatives and hoped to avail more such schemes for the greater interest of the people of the state and nation at large.
General Manager (CSR), NRL, in his speech, highlighted on various activities and public welfare initiatives taken up by their company under CSR.
