Bomdila, Jul 3: Union Minister of Earth Sciences, Kiren Rijiju, virtually chaired the DISHA meeting held for the West Kameng district. This crucial gathering had a primary objective of reviewing the ongoing development initiatives and welfare schemes in the region.
The Chairman of the committee issued instructions to the nodal scheme implementing agencies, emphasizing their commitment to fulfilling their duties and responsibilities. It was further emphasized that the benefits of the schemes must effectively reach the intended beneficiaries at the grassroots level. Additionally, it was highlighted that the beneficiaries themselves should be well-informed about the details of the schemes. In order to ensure smooth implementation, the active involvement of local MLAs and PRI members was deemed essential throughout the process, he added.
During the meeting,  Deputy Commissioner Akriti Sagar, provided an update on the various schemes implemented in the West Kameng district. Sagar, also shed light on the achievements, challenges, and overall status of the schemes.
The meeting was also virtually attended by local MLAs and DCs from Tawang, West Kameng, East Kameng, and Pakke-Kesang. (DIPRO)
