ITANAGAR, May 31: Union Minister for Law and Justice, Kiren Rijiju called on Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar today.
The Governor conveyed his felicitation to the Union Government on successful completion of eight years of good governance led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the nation has progressed and developed exponentially in the last eight years and successfully tackled multiple challenges like COVID-19 etc.
The Governor emphasized on creating more awareness of various schemes and programmes so that targeted population avails maximum benefit from them. He suggested extensive conduct of the awareness programme so that it reaches every hamlet, street, vista and village across the country.
The Governor reiterated about setting up of an independent High Court in the State and requested the Union Law and Justice Minister to expedite it.
