BOMDILA, Sep 15:Amidst huge round of applause, the MoS Home, Kiren Rijiju assured the Sartang tribe; one among the six indigenous tribes of West Kameng, of recognization and inclusion in the Schedule Tribe list of the Union.

‘I shall do everything possible in my capacity to ensure that the Sartang tribe finds its rightful place in the Schedule Tribe list of the Union,’ the MoS said while gracing the last day celebration of the Tang festival of the Sartangs at Jerigaon in West Kameng district.

Kiren also assured for recommending creation of a Circle Officer’s post under the Sartang area to facilitate easy administration and to bring developments to people’s doorstep.

He was accompanied by Speaker Legislative Assembly Er. TN Thongdok and Japu Deru, MLA cum Principal Advisor to Chief Minister. DIPRO
