ITANAGAR, May 24:The North East human Rights Organization on Tuesday has strongly condemned the broad daylight assault on the Director of Audit & Pension on Monday last and demanded high security for the official.

Expressing shock over the incident, NEHRO, President, Asintho Pangge has also condemned the state government for allegedly failing to provide safety and security to officials in the state and strongly urged the Home Department to come up with strict security arrangement for officials serving across the state.

“State government should bear the responsibilities to protect life and rights of citizens of the state at any cost. The incident is a bad remark of failure on part of state government, which also clearly shows the negligence towards safety and security of citizens in capital,” he further added.

The organization further appealed to the concern authority to put all out efforts to find out the facts and book the culprits at the earliest to instill a sense of security amongst dwellers of the state capital.
