Rono Hills, Sep 2: The Rajiv Gandhi University launched the Hindi Month celebration which will be observed all through September. The entire programme will be co-ordinated by Hindi Cell, RGU.
15 lecture series will be organized to enhance the dimensions of Hindi in different contemporary fields, where eminent personalities from different field all over the country will deliver the lecture. Besides literary and cultural activities a short film title- “Arunachal Pradesh mein Hindi : ek darshaneeye bhavishy” a combined production of Mass Communication department & Hindi Cell will be screened on the valedictory  night on September 30 next.
Hindi Officer, Gumpi Nguso speaking on the theme behind the celebration said that Hindi is not limited to the teaching learning process but it has a massive dimension of  research, technology, science, business, employment, entertainment, creative writing, etc.
Dean of Language, RGU Prof. Oken Lego highlighted the importance & values of the Hindi in the field of education.
Key note speaker Vandana Tete, renowned tribal litterateur from Jharkhand addressed the session & highlighted the interrelationship of Hindi language & tribal literature. She stated that tribal literature is very unique in nature whereas we have to first understand the tribal philosophy and phenomenon for writing tribal literature. Along with other languages preservation of our own mother tongue is very important in contemporary era, she said.
Second speaker of the occasion Prof. Bina Sharma, Director, Central Hindi Institute, Agra said that Hindi learning is not only about passing exams and getting certificates, but Hindi knowledge will enhance personality and create more employment opportunities in different fields among the youth. 
Vice Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha also spoke.
Dr. N.T.Rikam, Registrar,RGU; Dr. Arun Kumar Pandey, HoD, Hindi Dept. (i/c), Deans, HODs of various faculties & depts, administrative officers, students and  many other dignitaries were present.
