Rono Hills, Apr 6: The much-awaited Inter-College Youth Festival 2025 is set to take place from April 7 to 9, promising an exhilarating showcase of talent, creativity, and sportsmanship among students from various affiliated colleges of Rajiv Gandhi University. The grand event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, while Chau Zignu Namchoom, MLA Namsai will grace the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
The festival, which was initially called KASUSILOTI, after the five main rivers of Arunachal Pradesh, was later renamed Cadence. It has been a symbol of student involvement, creating a thriving academic and cultural world. The XII Inter-College Youth Festivalat Rajiv Gandhi University was held from April 22 to 24, 2018. Students showcased their skills in a variety of areas over three days, including dance, recitation, musical and vocal performances, theatre, quiz contests, and mime acts. For many years, the festival has served as a cradle for new artistic expression, thinking, and talent.
It aims to encourage and offer a venue for students to exchange skills and expertise. Additionally, by showcasing their cultural talents on a shared stage, the event encourages young people to embrace national integration, a spirit of social harmony, camaraderie, courage, and adventure. It gives pupils a way to improve their confidence, critical thinking, and creativity while fostering their overall development and leadership abilities. The festival also seeks to uncover and develop students' hidden talents, preparing them for future pursuits while fostering cross-college partnerships and promoting cross-cultural interaction.
A wide range of sporting, cultural, and literary competitions will be held throughout this three-day festival, encouraging participants to excel and support one another. Students from the affiliated colleges of Rajiv Gandhi University will come together for the XIII ICYF-2025. Over 500 delegates from affiliated colleges will compete in three different competitive events namely, Games and Sports,  Cultural and Literary. As a unique feature of XIII ICYF-2025, the RGU purely be hosting the events and will not be competing in any. 
In addition to badminton tournaments involving team events, women's doubles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles, the games will feature physical sports like the 100- and 200-meter races. Folk dance, partner dancing, and solo song performances will be featured at cultural events. Literary events will provide a forum for artistic and intellectual expression by testing participants in extempore speech, essay writing, and debate.
