DOIMUKH, Nov 3: The third edition of the Placement Brochure of RGU’s Placement Cell was released today by the Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University Prof. Saket Kushwaha.
While releasing the Brochure with the theme Transforming Opportunities Into Reality, the Vice Chancellor said that, the university since its inception has been a human resource provider to the state in particular and the nation in general. Its graduates are well placed in all the sectors be it government or private sector, banking or industries including many reputed companies such as BBC, Wipro, etc.
He emphasized on the importance of placement activities in the university and maintained that the university community is committed to produce quality graduates who are behind none in getting good placement and to be absorbed in the job market. He urged the corporate houses, manufacturers, service providers and research and development establishments to come for groomed graduates for placement.
The Registrar of RGU Dr. Nabam Tadar Rikam said that the university is not keeping any stone unturned in making its products employable and emphasized on making the student aware of their tracks of careers through SWOT (Strength, weakness, opportunity, and Threat) analysis introspection.
The Finance Officer of the University Prof. Otem Padung while assuring that the university’s civil service and NET coaching programmes will be made more frequent in coming days, said that more efforts will be put in, so that graduates can have a clear vision of way forwards after completion of their respective degrees.
The Joint Registrar of RGU Dr. David Pertin who is also the Convenor of the Placement Advisory Committee while highlighting the background of the establishment of placement cell in RGU through its Academic Council in the year 2019 to maintain university’s placement records and to provide greater avenues to its graduates, said that, it is university’s continuous endeavor to keep abreast of the challenges and opportunities in the job scenario of the state and the nation and this brochure will be beneficial for both the graduates and recruiters who are seeking suitable placement and recruits respectively.
Earlier from Prof. Tasi Kaye, professor in-charge, of the placement cell apprised the main functioning of the cell and informed about the role played by each and every department of the university in nurturing it. He also informed about the student’s placement in different organization through digital campus placement. He further informed that on campus or digital campus recruitment drives are welcoming and regular events these days in RGU campus.
Recruiters like Vivekananda Kendra Arunachal Pradesh Trust, Dibrugarh, Zee Media Private Ltd., The Byju’s, ICICI, WIPRO, Spire Group Advertising Agency, HDFC, Tajuk Infosys Private Limited, etc have recruited graduates of RGU in recent times through campus recruitment. Placement Officer of the university Susmita Chanda informed that the brochure has been made live in the portal of the cell in the university’s website.
