RONO HILLS, Sep 22: Rajiv Gandhi University’s Department of Social Work organized a one-day online national dialogue on ‘Strategies and Roadmaps for a Holistic, Flexible and Inclusive Higher Education through NEP 2020’ here on Monday last. 
RGU VC Professor Saket Kushwaha in his inaugural address hailed the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 as “an ambitious re-imagination of India's education system which will change its face in the years to come.” Pro VC Professor Amitava Mitra highlighted the economic significance of NEP and lauded its emphasis on the multi-disciplinary approach. Two members of the policy’s drafting committee namely Professor Mazhar Asif, Dean, Centre for Persian and Central Asian Studies, Literature and Culture Studies JNU and Professor Ram Shankar Kureel, Former VC Acharya N D University of Agriculture and Technology and Baba Saheb Ambedkar University of Social Sciences gave insightful deliberations on the topic. Head, Department of Social Work and Convener Dr. Kaushalendra Pratap Singh termed the policy as noble and timely.
More than 125 participants representing nearly twenty states cutting across subject domains participated in the programme. RGU PR
