RONO HILLS, May 18: The Institutional Repository (IR) portal of Rajiv Gandhi University will be inaugurated virtually by the varsity’s Vice Chancellor Professor Saket Kushwaha on May 20.
The IR is going to be an integral part of the varsity’s central library which preserves valuable  collections of research outputs including research journal articles (pre-print and post-print), conference papers, technical reports, computer programmes, technical manuals, e-books, newspaper clippings, podcasts, seminar/webinar lectures, question banks, convocation addresses, student handbooks, rare books etc. The central library has taken the initiative to upload more than 12 thousands e-books in the upcoming IR (http://rguir.inflibnet.ac.in) besides journals, seminar/webinar lectures and scholarly publications. In due course of time, all e-resources and digital teaching/learning materials will be uploaded in the IR. 
Pro VC Professor A Mitra, Registrar Dr N. T. Rikam, I/c Library Professor P.K. Acharya and Assistant Librarian Dr D. K. Pandey will be present at the virtual inaugural ceremony along with faculty members, research scholars and students. The inaugural programme will also include a live demonstration on the IR’s use and the SOPs to be adhered.
