Rono Hills, Jan 19:  Rajiv Gandhi University has signed a three-year Non-Financial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission to strengthen cooperation in academics, research, training and capacity-building initiatives linked to rural livelihoods development.
The MoU was signed between Rajiv Gandhi University and Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission, reflecting a shared commitment to leveraging academic expertise and institutional experience for inclusive development in Arunachal Pradesh.
The agreement was formally signed by Dr. N. T. Rikam, Registrar, RGU, and Sangeeta Yirang, CEO-cum-State Mission Director, ArSRLM. As per the provisions of the MoU, the Department of Management, RGU, has been designated as the Nodal Department, with Dr. Odang Mara appointed as the Nodal Coordinator to oversee and facilitate collaborative activities.
The partnership is expected to promote joint academic engagement, research support, training programmes and internships, that align with the objectives of National Rural Liveliood Mission and institutional capacity building. It also aims to create opportunities for students and faculty to contribute to field-based research and development-oriented interventions.
The MoU is non-financial in nature and will remain valid for a period of three years, providing a structured framework for sustained collaboration. The signing and related official proceedings were coordinated through the Office of the State Mission Director, ArSLM, Itanagar.
