Doimukh, Jun 27: The Rajiv Gandhi University got two new buses under Grants-in-Aid from the state government, which was flagged-off today by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha. 
In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor while apprising about the gesture of the state government under the leadership of the Chief Minister Pema Khandu and the Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, said that they have shown their commitment to aid the growth of the central university in the state which is seldom seen in other parts of the country. All praises for the state leadership, he divulged that many campus dweller friendly projects under the state’s grant-in-aid are in the offing, to be launched with a target to provide basic facilities to all.
The Registrar Dr. N.T. Rikam informed that the state government had also sanctioned a Water Supply Project in the campus worth Rs. 21 crore, and sanction of Rs. 3 crore for Student Activity Centre.
Prof. Otem Padung, the Finance Officer of RGU said with the addition of the two buses the fleet will increase which will immensely benefit the campus dwellers and people in the periphery.
