YACHULI, May 31:In the wake of discontentment amongst the people of Yachuli Constituency at the government’s decision to shift the Divisional Commissioner (West) and DIG (West) temporary to Yupia and to have a first-hand view of the claimed infrastructural developments in Yachuli, Minister UD, Town Planning Nabum Rebia,  inspected the notified Divisional Commissioner area at Yachuli today. He was accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary Transport and local MLA Likha Saaya and the Deputy Commissioner, Lower Subansiri Kemo Lollen and HoDs.

He inspected the Divisional Commissioner(West) office and the residential and non residential buildings, the Water Treatment Plant which would augment the water supply once the Divisional Commissioner becomes functional, the 33 KV Switchyard and the PWD circuit house.

Later while interacting with the PRI members, student leaders and intellectuals of the area, he assured to facilitate a consultative meeting with the CM and project the infrastructural and the viability of the area personally. 

Yachuli is a beautiful blessed place with a conducive weather that can attract tourist in huge numbers, what is required is good road connectivity, he added and appealed to restrain from creating hindrances to road development, while reminding to keep provision for two lane roads in the notified area.

 

Likha Saaya while expressing shock over the decision to shift Divisional Commissioner (West) and DIGP Hq(West) temporarily to Yupia said that the foundation stones for the above two were laid way back on 6th March, 1999 by the then Chief Minister Mukut Mithi.

‘These 18 years has been a long wait for the people of Yachuli. With a hope that the Divisional Commissioner (West) and DIGP Hq(West)  would materialize, lots of fund has been incurred to develop the infrastructures,’ he added and ardently appealed to revoke the decision.

It is worth mentioning here that other infrastructures like KVK office, PWD SE Office, Mini stadium, Office of the PWD, AE, Yachuli Sub division office, BRTF road to the Divisional Commissioner office and ring road connecting all the residential and non residential buildings of the area have already been constructed in the notified area.
