DOIMUKH, May 16:

 

Minister for UD, Housing, Town Planning etc cum local MLA, Nabam Rebia on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to the Research and Design centre located at Doimukh, Papum Pare district.

 

In his visit, Rebia expressed concern over the pathetic condition of infrastructure of one of the oldest industrial centres in the state and has assured to provide possible help for its up gradation with modern technologies for economic enhancement of the local people of the area.

Rebia promised to provide funds for establishment of an incubation centre at Doimukh, early installation of power loom for training of unemployed youths, separate training centre for progressive craftsman etc.

 

Further interacting with the staff, Rebia advised them to be punctual with their duties and directed the EE, WRD Yupia to prepare an estimate for construction of cement concrete compound wall to protect the land from encroachment.

 

He also instructed the local administration to deal strictly against the land encroachers and impose penalty on people involved in damaging of public properties.

He was accompanied by Ibom Tao, SDO Doimukh,  Yab Lotu, Chairperson Doimukh Anchal Samity along with PRIs etc.
