ROING, Sep 1: A one-day reading campaign titled ‘Joy of Reading is Our Birthright’ was conducted at Govt. Residential School Jumupani and GRS New Elope in Hunli Sub Division of Lower Dibang Valley district on Thursday by the Dibang Youth Library and AIMSU.
The reading campaign is aimed to take the joy of reading to the unreached valleys of Dibang and to inculcate basic reading skills among the rural tribal students. The rural students enjoyed the activities of reading aloud, action rhymes and theatre reading, which would go a long way to enhance their enthusiasm to read and improve their abilities to read efficiently.
The Dibang Library team was led by Mentor Santosh Chetry and volunteers Aloka Mili and Bithem Marai, while the AIMSU team consisted of Anjame Mena (President Women Wing) and Dengo Mimi (Health Secretary).
