ITANAGAR, Apr 17:  The Election Commission announced April 20 as the date for re-polling in 19 polling stations across 12 Assembly Constituencies for both Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assembly today.

Addressing media persons at Nirvachan Bhavan, Additional Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Kanki Darang said re-polling will be held in 19 polling stations on April 20. The time fixed for voting is from 6 am to 2 pm.

“The time frame of re-poll has been changed; the casting of vote will begin from 6 am and end at 2 pm the same day,” he said.

In Arunachal West parliamentary seat, 14-Nachiban polling station under Bomdila Assembly constituency re-polling will be held while in Bameng and Chayangtajo Assembly constituencies under East Kameng district, re-polling will be held in 37-Jomoh, 4-Yangfo, 5-Tagampu and 24-Pipu. Two polling stations, 2-Deed and 8-Pania in Yachuli constituency under Lower Subansiri district while 21-Bayor, 42-Leya and 47-Rebi of Daporijo constituency and 5-Nasi in Dumporijo constituency under Upper Subansiri district will also go for re-poll. 14-Kamki Dego polling station in Liromoba constituency and 20-Sogum of Likabali constituency under West Siang will also go for fresh polls.

In Arunachal East parliamentary seat, 34-Messing polling station under Pangin constituency re-polling will be held while in Kanubari and Longding-Pumao Assembly constituencies under Longding district, re-polling will be held in 9-Longhua and 4-Longkhao. 27-Wagunpather, 29-Nongtaw Khamti and 30-Wingseng Nongtaw of Namsai Assembly constituency will also go for re-polling on Saturday.

Further Darang informed that report of polling stations under 18-Palin,19-Nyapin,20-Tali and 21-Koloriang  Assembly constituencies are under scrutiny process. The Adl CEO also informed that 77.83 is the total percentage of polling in the simultaneous elections in Arunachal Pradesh that was held on 11^th April last.
