ITANAGAR, Oct 7:   Hundreds of people including youths participated in the rally organized by the Arunachal Pradesh Micro & Small Industries Development Association (APM&SIDA) here on Friday. Holding placards and banners participants walked from Akashdeep to Tennis Court, IG Park.
Speaking to the media, General Secretary APM&SIDA Hinium Takung  said that the rally has been called following the lackadaisical attitude of the government on a memorandum submitted earlier. The association is demanding proper implementation of all the centrally sponsored schemes by the banks. Most of the schemes sponsored by the central government are being executed by banks but most of the time they fail to disclose the benefits and schemes due to which many unemployed youths get deprived, he said.
The association has also demanded a review meeting of the Industries Department so that schemes and projects are published in public domain which will help the unemployed youths to take up various projects.
The General Secretary also claimed that most of the land  in Naharhagun  Industrial area measuring 6.59 acres and in Chandranagar  (1.79 acres) are being encroached by private individuals. This land should be evicted immediately and the department should use the land to install small industrial units for the unemployed youths, he said.
APM&SIDA is also demanding the posting of Director MSME in the state.
