Itanagar, Aug 11: State Civil Aviation Minister Balo Raja today chaired a meeting with the officers of the Department of Civil Aviation and other line departments to discuss detailed preparations for hosting the North Eastern Region Civil Aviation Ministers’ Conference cum 3rd North East Aviation Summit by Government of Arunachal Pradesh at Itanagar slated on 5th September, under the aegis of the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). 
The NER Civil Aviation Ministers’ Conference and NE Aviation Summit provides a unified platform for North Eastern States’ Civil Aviation Ministers, policymakers and industry leaders to deliberate on strategies for unlocking the potential of the aviation sector in NE region, strengthening regional air connectivity bringing together all key stake holders to promote greater collaboration and synergy between State Civil Aviation Departments and Ministry of Civil Aviation.
The event is expected to be attended by 100+ participants and will be attended by Pema Khandu, State Chief Minister along with Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, Union Minister of Civil Aviation & Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Govt. of India; Civil Aviation Ministers of all NER States; Secretary, MoCA & other senior officers from the Government of India; Chief Secretary/Commissioner/Secretary of Civil Aviation Departments of NER States and delegates from various aviation industries.
After discussing various issues about preparations for the event, Balo Raja, Minister (UA,LM & Civil Aviation) appealed to all the officers of line departments for extending help, cooperation and support to make the event a great success which is expected to bring some new initiatives by the MoCA in Civil Aviation Sector of Arunachal Pradesh.
