ITANAGAR, May 10: Close at the heels of Governor PB Acharya’s assurance to help the delinquent welfare association in their rehabilitation process, the Governor Secretariat has handed over office furniture to the representative of All Arunachal Pradesh Delinquent Welfare Association (AAPDWA) at Raj Bhavan on May 9 last.
Old and unused table and chairs were handed over by Deputy Secretary, Raj Bhavan, M Damin to President, AAPDWA, Tacho Dana Tanang, which will be used in the office of the organization.
It may be recalled that the Governor met the members of AAPDWA at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on April 29 last and lauded them for taking up the initiative to provide a common platform to all those who were earlier involved in criminal activities but are now willing to rejoin mainstream society and work towards socio- economic development.
To meet the office expenses, the Governor has already sanctioned an amount of Rs. Thirty Five thousand.
