Bomdila, May 26: As a part of the ongoing efforts to promote road safety and responsible civic behaviour, an awareness campaign on road safety measures, under the aegis of West Kameng District Administration was held by the District Transport Office, Bomdila.
The campaign was chaired by Phuntso Tashi, EAC cum Incharge DTO Bomdila. Tashi highlighted the importance of the campaign and sensitised participants about road signals, symbols and other traffic rules.
OC PS Bomdila highlighted the role of different traffic signals and other road safety measures.He also urged the public to refrain from using mobile phone while driving, drunk driving and overspeeding.Participants were made aware of the importance of using seat belts, helmets and other safety measures.
Booklets on Traffic Signals and Road safety were also distributed during the campaign.
