Namsai, Aug 1: A Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh was organized today at the Multipurpose Cultural Hall, Namsai in the presence of MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom and Nang Urmila Mancheykhun. The event was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Namsai, DPO-cum-DNO (ADP & ABP), Heads of Departments, ASHAs, Anganwadi Workers, and other frontline functionaries.
Deputy Commissioner CR Khampa in his address, highlighted that Sampoornata Abhiyan was a focused three-month campaign (from July to September 2025 ) aimed at saturating six key performance indicators in 112 Aspirational Districts and six indicators in 500 Aspirational Blocks across India. He informed that during the campaign, four KPIs under Namsai ADP and three KPIs under Chongkham ABP were successfully saturated. He said this Samman Samaroh is organized to appreciate and acknowledge the relentless dedication of all stakeholders. He commended the dedicated efforts of the frontline workers from the Health Department, WCD, Agriculture, Power, and Education Departments, whose coordinated action led to the district’s achievements.
He informed the gathering that in recognition of these efforts, NITI Aayog has awarded Namsai Aspirational District the bronze medal and Chongkham Aspirational Block the Copper Medal, the formal felicitation is scheduled to be held tomorrow at Itanagar.
Chief Guest Chau Zingnu Namchoom, in his remarks, congratulated all the frontline workers for their tireless contribution in achieving this milestone. He expressed his vision of transforming Namsai into a clean and green society and emphasised the need for regular cleanliness drives and assured full support for such initiatives. He also highlighted the rising dengue cases in the district and urged for increased public awareness and preventive action. He also committed 10% of his MLALAD towards skill development initiatives, noting that it would contribute to improve Namsai’s performance under ADP. He further encouraged all stakeholders to strive higher from being an Aspirational District to becoming an Inspirational District and suggested to take inspiration from success stories of other districts for effective implementation.
Nang Urmila Mancheykhun, ZPC Namsai also acknowledged the hard work of the grassroots workforce, appreciated their works and stressed the need for team effort to achieve greater results.
During the event, felicitations and distribution of cash incentives were given to all the frontline warriors for their relentless efforts.
