PASIGHAT, Sep 15: A distinguished educationist, Prof. Nasir Ahmed Khan, a Hyderabad Central University senior professor assumed office as the Vice- Chancellor of Apex Professional University (APU), Pasighat here this week. He took over charge from the APU Chancellor Acharya Dhanwant Singh.
According to VC, APU, Prof. Khan education presents a great opportunity for India which has a very diverse and young human resource to harness the demographic dividend. He assured that he would focus on the quality education and integration of technology with education support service.
Prior to joining the APU, Prof. Khan has held various key positions and has thirty four years of impressive academic as well as administrative experiences in various capacities. He is recipient of many awards including Shiksha Ratan Award, 2011. He travelled extensively across the globe to attend seminars and present research papers. 32 students have been awarded Ph.D and M. Phils and 2 post Doctoral Fellows (PDFs) under his supervision.
APU Chancellor Acharya Dhanwant Singh while extending his good wishes has stated that Prof. Khan has considerable administrative experience as he served as the head of the department and Director in the university system (Hyderabad Central University).
